        Verdict

        The weights for the showcase handicap are headed by Darialann. Formerly with Arthur Moore in Ireland, he kept company with the likes of Rathgar Beau and Native Scout in some decent contests. He is an interesting runner in his UK debut for Owen Brennan but we will wait to see if the market speaks. Mixsterthetrixster is the apple of his trainer's eye and the gelding rarely runs a bad race. His best form is when there is a degree of cut in the ground and it may be better to leave him alone on this occasion. Ben Ewar would probably need further whilst Stamparland Hill looks to have lost the plot since his novice days. Front-running Ei Ei is always respected and could prosper if his rivals give him too soft a lead upfront. Our selection is Tactful Remark. He was a useful top-of-the-ground performer on the flat and demonstrated his class during the summer over hurdles. His performances this term have been a little disappointing but we believe that with the ground drying out, he will be a different proposition today.
