Verdict

EARL GREZ has been placed in five of his 10 starts over the larger obstacles, most of them in better company than this. He was never travelling and wisely pulled up on his latest start at Kelso in May but has been given plenty of time to recover and can finally shed his maiden tag here on his first start for Peter Bowen. Bring On The Judge and Melua Maid both warrant a second look following lengthy breaks but Kings Queen's ungenerous handicap mark is based on her second to Alasi in a muddling race at Huntingdon last December. Winning hurdler Highland River was third to Lajidaal on his fencing bow at Fontwell but that form is nothing to write home about.
