In depth

Verdict

Katchmore came right back to form at Ffos Las last month but is conceding a lot of weight to some in-form rivals. Sheena West's filly Hi Note has won twice on the Flat since finishing second to The Lemonpie at Fontwell while Western Approaches is on a hat-trick after victories here and at Stratford. The Fonz wasn't beaten far at Worcester in July after winning at Southwell but Red Not Blue's two recent wins have come over fences and Westlin' Winds returns from a break. NO PLANNING looked a promising novice in the second half of last year and will probably have needed his two runs this summer. He should be approaching peak fitness now and, potentially well handicapped, gets a tentative vote.
