Balladame got among better-fancied rivals on debut at Ffos Las and kept on in the closing stages. She probably needed that so could take all the beating here, though Bannixtown Glory was impressive between the flags at Belclare in March and Malina Ocarina finished third at Newton Abbot last month. MARTHA MY DEAR has a nice pedigree and should enjoy conditions more than on debut at Hexham. She’ll make a hurdler but can land this before her attentions are turned to jumping.
