Verdict

Minnie Milan showed her appreciation for a distance of ground with two wins in the space of ten days in May here and at Huntingdon. Good ground suit's Neil King's charge and it's very tempting to stay with her in this hat-trick bid despite some fairly harsh treatment from the assessor. She should find further improvement too at the age of six but VAIHAU is just the preference. He looked a staying hurdler on the upgrade until disappointing at Cartmel last time but won't be the first or last to find that unique circuit hard to handle. Previously, he'd been really impressive at Towcester and can return to that level now. Set List is very lightly-raced and it's interesting that Emma Lavelle comes here with the son of Heron Island when a maiden hurdle looks there for the taking. He's high enough for this handicap bow but that decision must be respected and he's shortlisted accordingly.
