Verdict
Wanango travels over from Ireland from the Tommy Stack yard and looks a good bet to land this at the expense of Patman Du Charmil and Saintsaire. The selection was a top novice hurdler last year and has some fair form over fences this season. He finished second to Vintage Treasure at Fairyhouse last time out which is fair form. He looks an up and coming type with more improvement in him so has to be respected. Patman Du Charmil has some fair form to his name this season. He won a novice chase over further than this back in October and has since run well in defeat against top company so any market moves should be noted. Saintsaire wins a race every year but the handicapper always gets the measure of him in the end. He got his head in front at Newbury in December and then shot back up in the weights which has made life tough. Having said that his young jockey is able to claim ten pounds which then puts him back in the picture and it will be interesting to see how the market evolves. But for the winner we return to Wanango.
