Verdict
The outcome of this may well depend on the fitness of West Point. Thought of as a potential Champion Bumper contender by then trainer Micky Hammond after winning at Catterick on his debut in February 2001, the son of Unfuwain ran unaccountably badly at Musselburgh subsequently. Now in the care of Mrs Williamson, it is likely that the five-year-old has had his problems and he is probably best watched. Stablemate Lambrini Mist ran well enough on his debut at Plumpton to suggest he can win races, while Sh Boom did so for Kim Bailey last term. Now trained by Jonjo O'Neill, he has to give weight away to his rivals and may find it difficult to do so, especially Barton Hill. Tim Easterby's gelding needs to improve on the bare form that he showed on his Sedgefield debut but is entitled to do so and, in receipt of weight, he gets the TEAMtalk vote.
