In depth

Verdict

The market can be useful in these events and it will be interesting to see the support for Gunner Fifteen who hails from a yard in strong form. He looked impressive when winning his sole Irish point-to-point start at Inch and is very much respected, likewise I Need Gold who has joined the thriving McCain team after also landing an Irish point in some style. Both rate interesting prospects, whilst Squeeze Me has also shown enough in a couple of bumpers to warrant shortlist inclusion. Rebecca Curtis enjoys a splendid 26% strike rate in such contests over the past five years so Clancy's Cross, a son of Oscar, needs to be taken seriously too. However, a chance is taken with ROSA FLEET, who showed promise on her bumper debut here in the spring, receives weight from all her main rivals and represents an in-form yard. Hopefully, the market will speak in her favour too.
