In depth

Verdict

Diablo De Rouhet won at Perth in June but couldn’t handle a 9lb rise at Bangor in August and has been raised a further pound since. Carrick Roads should make a chaser and Captain Drake is another interesting newcomer to fences while soft ground will be no problem for Clondaw Anchor. The going will also suit Golden Whisky and Jennie Candlish has nursed Fortified Bay back to full fitness. WESTEND STORY (NAP) has not been easy to train but is a real mud-lover. He was last seen running against the likes of Defi Du Seuil, Topofthegame and Black Op and looks capable of defying top weight in only his second run over fences.
