        Verdict

        Toughasoldboots has a leading claim on her best efforts but has appeared strangely subdued on both starts this season, so it may be best to await a return to form - unless the market speaks to the contrary. That said, not too many of her rivals are in the best nick either. Scots Gold would have needed his last run presumably after being away for well over 600 days and Definite has not really sparkled so far this term, although trainer and jockey are in splendid form and he's certainly one to consider on this move into handicap company. Ten Past Midnight is another seemingly in a search for form, so ROCK ON TOMMY is taken to supplement course and distance gains from just eight days ago despite a 7lb penalty. He appeared to score with a little to spare and handles the forecast soft ground.
