Verdict

INTERCONNECTED was beaten under a length by Emitom on his hurdling debut two years ago. He’s had his problems since but would have found 2m around Huntingdon an insufficient test of stamina when a beaten favourite on his return to action and can start making up for lost time here. Red Rookie, a winner on this card 12 months ago, is 3-4 under Rules and got off the mark over hurdles over 2m at Sandown but the second let the form down next time and he has 6lb extra. The Edgar Wallace may be a bigger threat as he was second to a decent novice when market leader at Doncaster on his second start over timber and has had wind surgery since. Onagatheringstorm has won a point and placed in a bumper so looks the type to do well over hurdles and Gulliver Collonges is improving with experience.
