Verdict
Celtic Pride represents the in-form Peter Bowen and should make a bold bid to score at the expense of Stand Easy and Go White Lightning. Celtic Pride beat the useful Moss Harvey over hurdles when trained by Jonjo O'Neill and has been lightly raced since moving to Wales. he has the scope to be a good chaser and has been brought along slowly with a patient policy. He should go close here at the expense of Stand Easy who won over the course and distance just six weeks after moving to John Cornwall. Unfortunately he now has to shoulder topweight and more success will make it hard to place him when he contests handicaps. Nevertheless he must be on the short-list along with Go White Lightning who did not help his cause at Haydock with a mistake at the water. A dual bumper winner earlier in his career, the eight-year-old has a race over fences in him somewhere if not here.
