Verdict

BE DEFINITE made a more than satisfactory first appearance over fences at Cartmel and Tom George's charge can go one better here. He has always looked a chaser in the making and can get the better of Stage Acclaim. The latter has been running consistently in summer novice chases and should find one sooner or later. He looks sure to give another sound account and stays the trip well. Persian Run has more experience than his opponents over fences and showed a fair level of ability but may just need the run here. Comehomequietly developed into a useful hurdler last season and is an interesting recruit to chasing under rules. However, he is already a winner in the pointing arena and is definitely worth a second look.
