In depth

Verdict

Molostiep, Golden Oak and Lazy but Lively make the shortlist here with Lazy but Lively taken to oblige off a low weight. Winner of a novice hurdle, Molostiep had shown little in recent starts, but may have improved this season judged on the evidence of a first time out win at Towcester. He showed determination to score and will have come on for the run. Golden Oak was a fortunate scorer at Towcester last time, but he was nonetheless running an improved race and should not be ruled out. He is experienced over fences and has now won twice. Lazy but Lively clearly enjoys his trips to Uttoxeter having won on his last two visits. Those victories came over hurdles and then last time over fences. He showed his gameness on each occasion and Lazy but Lively can once again prove his title to be a misnomer.
