Verdict
Hadfield has been showing signs of life this season but conditions aren’t ideal for the top weight and these look quite closely matched. Maguire's Glen rallied into third at Towcester last month. He won at Newton Abbot in October but flopped when tried over this trip at Exeter. Malapie has won over 3m on soft going and hasn’t been disgraced in either start this term. He’s dropped in class here and can open his seasonal account. One Forty Seven and Catching On probably have some improving to do but King Uther will have benefited from last month’s fourth at Exeter and is a danger.
