In depth
Verdict
The Happy Chappy was very well backed when runner-up to a subsequent winner over 3m2f here at the start of the month. He’s undoubtedly well treated at present but is on a long losing run. MIDNIGHT MAGIC only finished fifth in that race but was disputing the lead when making a mess of the first fence in the straight and allowed to come home in his own time. He’ll strip fitter today and can get back to winning ways. Bermeo has slipped further down the ratings but River Of Intrigue struggled over the winter and needs to stage a revival. Hurricane Arcadio may be best of the rest.
