In depth

Verdict

A difficult race to close out so ANDORN is a tentative call against Sparkling Brook and Schinken Otto. Phil Kirby is a trainer to keep an eye on as he has done well with what limited resources he has. Andorn did not seem to appreciate the heavy ground at Wetherby last time out but he is proven under tonight's conditions and can be relied upon to run his race. Sparkling Brook has to be respected from the Nigel Twiston-Davies yard and is likely to be up there early. He is likely to be taken on for the lead by Schinken Otto. He is better known over chase fences though can show plenty of exuberance from the rise of the tapes. Northern Lad was a tad disappointing at Market Rasen though he has been on the comeback from a sizeable period of absence. Wujood had demonstrated a level of ability on the flat though has resided at plating grades at this discipline. Not a race to be dogmatic about so Andorn is selected with a few reservations.
