In depth

Verdict

Milton Star, New Team and Odal d'Airy are the three to look at here and New Team can score at a nice price. Odal d'Airy is an interesting contender, representing Philip Hobbs and he comes here with the benefit of a good chasing run in France where he finished second. He is likely to start at a short price and may be worth taking on as this is his debut in this country and he may lack a turn of foot. Milton Star is a Flat winner and comes here after a good run at Newcastle last time on the Flat. He handles easy ground but his recent hurdling form gives him a little to find. New Team has only had the one run in this country, finishing second in this race last year, just run out of it close home. A winner on the Flat in France, he has been off the course since. However, he has shown clear ability and hails from a yard in outstanding form. New Team can justify his selection.
