Verdict
The market should give the best guide to the chances of Nicky Henderson's French import, Caracciola, who returns to the racecourse after a long absence. The Teamtalk selection for the opener is Derivative. Venetia Williams' charge was rated 105 on the flat in Ireland and posted a decent second to Lord Joshua last term on soft ground. Carlingbrook has already had two runs around here and has shown little so far. British flat converts, Silk St John and Bolshoi Ballet will also need to improve on previous efforts in order to stake a claim in this grade. Of the remainder, Florida Rain (who drops in class today) and Danton potentially look most open to improvement.
