Verdict

There are several possibilities in a competitive race but DOVEDALE is ahead of the game and can reel off a hat-trick; perhaps at the main expense of Tara Taylor and Even FLo. The selection is saddled with a penalty for her 7 length romp at Exeter but she's due to be saddled with a further 8lbs in future so has the look of a handicap good thing. Life doesn't always pan out like that but she arrives here fit and well and is the one to beat. Tara Taylor hails from a yard that has made a good start to the season and she has run well enough on a couple of occasions to think that she can win races from her current perch and she's related to a winner at around this trip. Even Flo was in good form over fences when last seen but she was racing from an 11lb lower mark when second in this race last year so will need to have improved if she's to go one better. Cobbler's Queen is unexposed and has a nice racing weight and there may be more to come from Devon Native but Thehonourablelady has suffered at the hands of the handicapper for her win at Worcester. Of more interest are Irish challenger Marks Rusty and ex-Irish Rare Article who has her first run for Tim Vaughan whilst Ambrose Princess is also considered but Dovedale is the one to beat.
