Verdict
MONTY'S REVENGE won off a higher mark over fences at Towcester on Boxing Day and stays well. Chris Ward takes off a further 7lb so he's probably the one to beat, though Sangfroid should do better now eased in grade. McCoy takes over the reins on Hector's House but he was still beaten a distance despite finishing second at Ludlow last month while the potentially well-treated Whenever has lost his way. Gwladys Street seems to reserve his best for Sedgefield and the remainder appear to have a bit to find if they are to play a part.
