Verdict

Some smart hunter chasers have won this down the years and go on to run well at either Cheltenham or Aintree. THE WORLDS END was a Grade 1-winning hurdler who also won twice over fences. Last seen making the running in the Long Walk at Ascot in December, Adrian Heskin is likely to have him out in front and out of trouble in this big field. Sixth in last year’s Foxhunter at The Festival, Marcle Ridge is a danger but conceding 4lb to the selection. Alan Hill has booked Sam Twiston-Davies for the former Gordon Elliott-trained Back Bar and he’s already won between the flags this winter. Highway Jewel is a talented mare but having a first run under Rules
