Verdict

A very competitive handicap with the weights headed by a consistent sort in Willow Beck. She's been raised a further 2lb since her latest third at Newmarket, however, and appears to be in the handicapper's grip now. Super Say goes well here but, like Hydrant, is also high enough in the weights and more interesting is the hat-trick-seeking Dolphin Village and stablemate Manchestar. Theodore Gericault was only fourth behind Willow Beck in August but there are possibilities about LYRIC BALLAD. She didn't enjoy the heavy ground at Sandown last time but still finished ahead of Penny Rose and her form on a quicker surface looks as good as anything in this field. She is taken to get back to winning ways.
