Verdict
Jonjo O'Neill's runners have started to fire again and Campaign Trail can do his bit to boost the coffers today. Torche and Emphatic are feared the most out a field of opponents that contains it's fair share of driftwood to sift through. A case can also be made for Bay Kenny for each way thieves, as he almost certainly needed the run when he was pulled up at Uttoxeter on his reappearance in October. A gap of 63 days since that run does leave his readiness for the battle open to interpretation and a watching brief on the betting market is advised before getting involved with him. Torche is a dour stayer that has gone well here in the past. However, he does find it hard to get his head in front and may again be frustratingly short of the mark. Emphatic has a similar profile in that his wins have been well spaced out through his career. He did score around this time last year though and will have nothing to fear from the ground conditions. However, Campaign Trail looks to have been well placed to land the odds in this company and, with Tony McCoy riding with his usual flair at present, the six-year-old has a rock solid chance of paying for the Sunday feast for his owner/breeder Michael Tabor.
