With the application of cheek pieces for the first time Flying Grey can take this poor seller with Lady Pickpocket, Cantique and Gertie others considered. The selection won a Bath seller when rated 2lb lower two starts ago before being turned over when favourite last time. The very nature of the contest suggests that he is not one to lump on, but his form is better than all of his rivals of recent times and he can come good again. Lady Pickpocket is not very good but in this race she may still have a say with blinkers applied for the first time to sharpen her up. Cantique gave Flying Grey 2lb and was beaten two lengths at Bath when last the pair met and now has a 12lb pull for that. At face value the filly has a good chance of reversing those placings but the very nature of these contests means that taking official ratings at face value can be dangerous and we will oppose. Gertie is another to have a look at, but you really would be hard pressed to called Eddie Creighton's runner as the winner from what we have seen and we will stick with Flying Grey.
