In depth

Verdict

Little Millie wasn’t winning out of turn at Uttoxeter and course and distance winner His Dream was in the process of running a good race at Newbury until unseating his rider in the contest in which Three Star General placed again. Steel Bob kept on well to score at Plumpton and Goodnight Charlie won over 3m5f over fences here last month so will be staying on when others have cried enough, though is 11lb higher than when beaten in a hurdle previously at Fakenham and looks held by Kilbrew Boy on collateral form. Vinegar Hill is back on a winning mark but hasn’t raced since October but Hastrubal was going well before failing to take to fences at Uttoxeter. Daryl Jacob rides the blinkered Plus One but PERFECT PIRATE may prove the pick of Ben Pauling’s pair as he looked to be coming to hand when third at Newbury.
