In depth

Verdict

Bannister Lane won by streets at Uttoxeter last time out and is taken to go in again today on similar conditions underfoot, with Monteforte and Cinnamon Line the two to give him most to do. The selection represents a stable in good form and relishes bog-like conditions. He will have to overcome a 14lb rise in the weights for that simple win, and whilst he disappointed when last tried at this trip, he runs as if it is well within his compass. Mr Dow Jones is a grand old-timer and put up a brave effort over this course and distance last time out. As a course and distance winner he deserves plenty of respect, as does Henry Daly's Coursing Run. Victory Gunner is consistent so should run his race, whilst Cinnamon Line chases the hat-trick here but is stepping up in trip for the first time so stamina must be taken on trust. Moneteforte battled well to win 12 days ago and must be a threat as he looks progressive, however we will return to the proven Bannister Lane to land the spoils.
