Verdict

Grand National hopeful SHAKALAKABOOMBOOM hasn't raced over hurdles for nearly two years. But he's a smart handicap chaser on his day and won't have to run anywhere near his chasing mark to get the better of today's rivals. What An Oscar is out of sorts and is still facing a tough task despite his conditional's allowance and Ely Brown makes more appeal than both the latter and Castle Conflict on his second over C&D in January. Kilmacowen has to come into it on today's terms, however, but Aintree bumper winner Herdsman has something to prove having been pulled up over hurdles on his reappearance.
