Verdict

STARCROSSED came good over hurdles at the second time of asking and looks the type to find further improvement. He’s a lot less exposed than easy Towcester scorer Piton Pete and jockey bookings suggest he’s preferred to stablemate Moonlight Dancer. Taking A Chance makes most appeal of the Ian Williams’ pair and Great Lover showed a bit more last time at Taunton, though will be qualified for handicaps after this. Simafar was still beaten more than 20 lengths when third here last time.
