Verdict

A P McCoy was on board when Carningli won his first two bumpers and his mount later ran well in Listed company. He started a short-priced favourite for his hurdling debut at Uttoxeter but hardly jumped a flight and finished tailed off. He's definitely better than that but this is no easy task and Kingscourt Native should be thereabouts. A winning point-to-pointer, he'll have come on a bundle for his hurdling bow at Exeter and should make the frame. ATLANTIC GOLD, another who has scored between the flags, showed the benefit of his hurdles introduction when giving supporters of Gone Forever a fright at Market Rasen. The winner looks a decent type so Charlie Longsdon's charge can gain his first victory under Rules. Hurricane Vic had no answer to Brother Tedd at Kempton and will need to step-up a gear while easy Towcester bumper winner Big Jim may prefer softer ground on his debut over timber. Onwiththeparty landed a Sligo bumper just over a year ago but ran very poorly on his debut over hurdles and first start for Paul Nicholls at Chepstow.
