In depth

Verdict

Inmates of Weathercock House have won the last 2 renewals of this race and Voice Of Reason may be able to complete a hat-trick, few are ruled out but Perfect Line, Phoudamour and Midnight Sail are three of the likelier dangers. Voice Of Reason stayed on well to win over 2m 2 at Folkestone in what appeared to be a decent contest and the presence of his trainer in the saddle has been a pointer to his horses chances in the past. Perfect Line shaped well in a junior bumper at Exeter that is working out quite well, this longer trip will suit but he has no easy task against his elders. There was a lot to like about the way that Midnight Sail and Phoudamour won their respective races whilst Thirtythreeblack is a fascinating newcomer. The suggestion in the finale though is Voice Of Reason.
