Verdict

Jatiluwih isn’t badly treated nowadays and Elizabeth Gale’s claim is a plus, though he is closely matched with Sirobbie on Newbury form last month. SPORTING ACE has been a model of consistency and, with cheekpieces added, may enjoy a change of luck today, though Loup De Maulde has done nothing but improve this season and looks a big danger. Heezer Geezer also has decent claims making his handicap debut, though he still has to prove he stays this far.

Formwatch

Jatiluwih (FR) 11-2 (11-10) Tracked leaders on inside, tracked winner after 2nd until 3 out, remained well there, unable to quicken before the last, went 3rd briefly run-in, stayed on same pace in 4th after, 4th of 8, 5 1/4l behind Annual Invictus (12-0) at Newbury 3m hcp (3) gd in Feb.

Heezer Geezer (FR) 2-1fav (11-7) Tracked leaders, went second and going well approaching 3 out, soon pushed along, no extra after 2 out, weakened flat, 3rd of 7, 8 3/4l behind Inch House (11-0) at Chepstow 3m (4) gs in Feb.

Sporting Ace (IRE) 11-10fav (11-11) Led narrowly, headed and remained prominent 3rd, pushed along home turn, pressed leader 2 out, soon ridden, every chance last, stayed on, held run-in, 2nd of 7, 2 1/4l behind Halifax (11-1) at Exeter 2m 7f hcp (4) gd in Feb.

Sirobbie (IRE) 15-2 (10-13) Prominent, pressed leader 7th, disputed lead before 3 out, ridden before 2 out, headed on run to last and faded, 5th of 7, 11 1/4l behind Sweet Will (11-6) at Doncaster 3m hcp (2) gd in Mar.

Loup De Maulde (FR) 15-2 (11-1) Towards rear, good headway 4 out, tracked leader home turn, pushed along and every chance 2 out, ridden before last, kept on, no telling impression, 2nd of 12, 4 1/2l behind Thomas Mor (12-0) at Ascot 3m hcp (3) gs in Feb.

Bobo Mac (IRE) 28-1 (11-8) Off the pace in rear, some late headway, never dangerous, 5th of 11, 24 3/4l behind Farmer's Gamble (11-5) at Exeter 2m 7f hcp (4) gs in Feb.
