In depth
Verdict
Verkhotina, Cello and River Treat stand out on form with Cello being the selection here for the in-form Richard Hannon yard. Apart from disappointing on his final start Cello ran some decent races last season and on breeding could be suited by this surface with the trip holding no fears. River Treat put up his best performance when finishing second to a useful sort at Pontefract on his second run last season. A reproduction of that form will see him go close but he may just need this outing. Verkhotina is another who will need the outing and may have wanted a faster surface to show her best which brings us back to Cello who we expect to be on song for Richard Hannon and Pat Dobbs.
