In depth

Verdict

Rebel Rhythm is taken to beat Iris's Gift. Sue Smith's charge has never quite received the credit that he has deserved for a string of decent efforts up North and as a relatively safe conveyance, he makes some appeal at the likely odds. Iris's Gift was last seen in front of the Channel 4 cameras in a schooling session at Haydock Park. He had the misfortune of falling there and Robert Lester's Gold Cup candidate has to put up an emphatic display of fencing to give his followers any hope of landing the spoils at Cheltenham. A week after such a heavy fall, we will take him on here. Halcon Genelardais was a 133 rated hurdler and is making a chasing debut. Leading Man kept his head while others fell at Wetherby. He was well beaten by The Listener last time out. No Full won over two-and-a-half miles in France prior to joining Paul Webber.
