        Verdict

        A beaten favourite at Folkestone, Every Note Counts has been given a break since that disappointing effort, but he would still have to improve to figure in this, while Figliolo, who failed to handle the undulations at Brighton, will be more at home around here. However, the one to beat is Four Jays, who has been unlucky not to get his head in front before now. He has been done no favours by the draw, but he has plenty of early pace and should be able to get across and take a handy early position.
