    Verdict

    West Cork was no match for Stage Star here at the start of the month and the latter’s trainer should know where he stands with Monmiral, who was a Grade 1 and Grade 2 winner over hurdles as a juvenile. Second behind brilliant stablemate Constitution Hill in last season’s Supreme Novices’, JONBON went one better in a Grade 1 at Aintree in April and could be a high-class recruit to the novice chase ranks.
