          Verdict

          Lancer always has to be feared at this level and the 10-year-old makes a quick reappearance after failing to last home over a mile and six furlongs at Nottingham last week. Lydia Pearce's veteran has excellent claims on an earlier narrow defeat off this mark at Leicester behind Smarter Charter. Mobo-Baco steps up in trip after disappointing last time and was possibly flattered by an earlier Folkestone success (now 4lb higher) when dictating terms. Wanna Shout is a progressive type and will appreciate the step up in distance after a staying-on second over 10f at Pontefract.
