Verdict

A number of these make some appeal on paper and this could be an interesting contest. FABULOUS FRED is the suggestion with Miss Sassi, Double Pride, Quelqu'un Comme Toi and Trafalgar Road all likely candidates for top honours. Miss Sassi is a half-sister to the yard's Amaretto Rose who won a bumper at this track and Nicky Henderson has sent out four bumper winners from just six runners at the track in recent seasons. Double Pride is a half-brother to the useful Our Ben who was trained by Willie Mullins and Alan King is another trainer with a decent record at the track although he has only sent out three bumper winners from twenty three runners at the track in recent years. Quelqu'un Comme Toi and Trafalgar Road showed enough on their debuts to think that a little improvement could see them figure and the latter is another with some smart relations as he's a half-brother to Travino. Panda Bay and The Falklander are another couple of names to note but it's Noel Chance's Fabulous Fred that gets the nod. He ran second in a point at the Horse And Jockey on his one run between the flags and the form of that race looks pretty solid. The conditions should hold no fears for him and, although we'd want to see some sign of market confidence, Fabulous Fred appeals as one of the likelier winners.
