Verdict

Bold Chief may well have won at Fontwell had Daryl Jacob kicked for home earlier but the third has let the form down since and Paul Nicholls' stable remains under a bit of a cloud. TARN HOWS continues to knock on the door and Leicester conqueror Merry King has won again since. This looks a good opportunity for Jennie Candlish's charge to get off the mark as Thanks For Coming has to concede 6lb to his rivals and was a little disappointing at Market Rasen after winning over a shorter trip at Sandown. Victor Echo is improving with experience and may be best of the rest ahead of bumper winner Jigsaw Puzzle.
