Verdict

ATLANTIC GREY was thought good enough to run in Listed company in January then just failed to hold on when attempting to make all on soft ground at Bangor. Today's quicker conditions can see him hang on though Gortroe Joe would probably have won a point at Tallow but for falling at the second last. Mahlervous hails from a yard very adept at winning these while the likes of Sailor Sam, a relative of two winning bumpers, and Stipend, a half-brother to a winner on the Flat, have to be respected.
