In depth
Verdict
The short list of possibles for this two-year-old race contains Land Ahoy, Invincible Spirit and, maybe, Bookiesindex Boy, with the vote going to Land Ahoy. Land Ahoy's third to Sans Reward at Salisbury last time reads very well in the context of this race and he looks set to go well. Invincible Spirit will, of course, have his supporters courtesy of three placed efforts and having shown plenty of promise, although he was sent off as favourite in each of those races. Finally, Back In The Red certainly cannot be ruled out of calculations based on breeding. Bookiesindex Boy has been comfortably held in each start, but those runs came in better races than this, so he might go well, the Richard Hannon-trained Equal And Approved only cost one thousand pounds so could not be fancied on that basis, and much as Hester Brook improved from run one to two last time and is improving, overall we feel that she might find one or two too good for her. Chief among these could be Land Ahoy, who gets our vote.
