Verdict

Shatter Resistant can put his experience to good use in the opener, with Qwertyuiop and Tamrai Dancer the most likely dangers. The selection has had plenty of chances but he would probably have won last time at Brighton when third behind Elna Bright if he had not pulled so hard early in the race. That looked a decent maiden so if he can replicate that run here then it should be good enough to see him get his head in front at the sixth time of asking. Qwertyuiop is a well-bred colt from the Karl Burke yard and the stable is certainly capable of getting one ready to win first time out. However, he is bred to be better over slightly further and he might not have the speed to get competitive here. Tamrai Dancer finished behind our selection at Bath last time and although he could improve as that was only his second run, he will need to do so to turn the tables. Ian Wood has two runners here so the market should provide the guide regarding the respective merits of those two newcomers, but Shatter Resistant has been knocking on the door and he can finally get his head in front today.
