Trompette can make a winning start to her British career at the expense of Kickahead, Opera de Coeur and Investment Wings. Successful twice on the Flat in France for Freddie Head, Trompette has done everything asked of her in training at Seven Barrows, and the daughter of Bahri is expected to put up a bold show on her first outing in the colours of the Elite Racing Club. Whether she improves quickly enough to give the club another leading fancy for the juvenile event after last year's success with Penzance remains to be seen, but she will certainly pay to follow if our reports are right. She comes up against another pair of ex-French individuals in Kickahead and Opera de Coeur, the latter successful on his last outing across the channel. Kickahead has a bit of experience though, having finished runner-up to patman du Charmil here on his British bow and might be the most dangerous of the duo. Investment Wings was put in his place by Siberian Highness at Taunton, and the latter's trainer now saddles Screen Test who was a disappointing maiden on the level, and who should have made his debut at the abandoned Huntingdon meeting on Wednesday.
