In depth

Verdict

TOSSAPENNY has not only been unfortunate to finish runner-up on all three ventures over timber but has been beaten a mere half a length or less or each occasion, all in decent contests, including two desperately close photo finishes. Stable inmates are running well at present and the Presenting gelding is taken to finally visit the winner's circle. Fawsley Spirit has shaped well on both starts for Ben Pauling and further improvement should be forthcoming, whilst Ocean Cove, although rather low-key when last seen, is a player based on previous form. Blue Flight is also of interest as he's been running over 2m or 3m and could prove well suited by this intermediate trip. General Custard represents a strong combination but needs to improve on efforts to date.
