In depth
Verdict
King D'argent has taken well to fences but is headstrong and not guaranteed an easy lead here with Benatar, now 7lb lower than when third in a Grade 3 at Cheltenham in December, and habitual front-runner Fanzio among the opposition. If a duel develops, that may play into the hands of Paddy Brennan on GENEROUS DAY as Henry Oliver’s gelding, back to winning ways at Hereford, is something of a course specialist and he stays further so wouldn’t be fazed if there was a strong gallop. Baddesley Knight has few miles on the clock but has had his problems in the last 18 months.
