In depth

Verdict

This can go the way of Dumabic with Garde Bien and Place Above both worthy of mention. The selection has been catching the eye of late and ran well to finish second of eight at Sedgefield when beaten by Heartstopper. He had no chance that day of beating the winner but if repeating that form he can land himself in the winners enclosure this time around. Garde Bien carries a seven pound penalty for his recent win at Market Rasen when beating Flight Command. That means he carries twelve stone five pounds which is no mean feat and a big burden for any horse to carry. If there is one thing that can stop a horse then its weight and for that reason he is best watched. Place Above has been running well of late and most recently when catching the eye at Uttoxeter. He has a nice racing weight and can be once again competitive but for the winner we return to Dumabic.
