In depth
Verdict
Michael Scudamore has a few chances on today’s card but Envol De La Cour finished tailed off on his first start for the yard having pulled up on both previous outings this term. Un Guet Apens and Well Smitten also have a bit to prove here but Maxed Out King has been plugging away since scoring at Sedgefield in November while Mortens Leam is more than capable in this company. Frankie Ballou is best at Sedgefield, however, and racing from out of the handicap. CASUAL CAVALIER usually enjoys a slog through the mud and a 4lb rise for winning at Catterick may not be enough to prevent a follow-up.
