In depth
Verdict
Silver Sedge is taken on here with Turnstile narrowly preferred to Three Mirrors. The selection was returning from a break when chasing home Day Of Claies over this course and distance last time. He has ground conditions to suit today and as he is sure to strip fitter for that run he looks to have leading claims. Silver Sedge won well last time but that was over hurdles and the handicapper looks to have his measure at present over the bigger obstacles. He is sure to run his race but he might need to drop a few pounds before he is able to resume winning ways. Three Mirrors has been running well of late and he finally got his reward for a string of consistent efforts when beating Ballyman at Market Rasen last time. He won in good style that day but he has more on his plate this afternoon and he is narrowly passed over. Jimmy Bond is a course and distance winner and is not without hope, but we are happy to stick with Turnstile who is taken to land the prize.
