Previous results
In depth
Formwatch
Boss Doyle (IRE) Game winner of this race last year after an almighty battle with Earthmover, had a string of near misses subsequently but should make a bold bid to record back to back successes.
Sudden Shock (GER) Good run of results when trained in France and ran a fair race at Aintree in a Grade 1 contest. Sound claims if ready to go.
Historic (IRE) He has had this race targeted for him for a long time and if he lives up to his trainer's expectations he will be thereabouts at the shake-up.
Merry Masquerade (IRE) Weighted up to his best over hurdles but with the stable recording a four-timer here yesterday it would be dangerous to rule him out.
Misty Class (IRE) Although he won his only outing over hurdles last term he has a little to prove back over timber after doing most of his racing over fences in the last couple of years.
Nigel's Lad (IRE) Goes well here and should give a good account of himself but others look to be more likely types for win only purposes.
Spendid (IRE) Plenty of form in the book to suggest he can take hand here, but he may just need the outing after a long lay off.
Turnpole (IRE) As game as ever on the flat this season but you have to go back to February 1996 to find his last win over hurdles, ( won a couple of chases in '99 ) best watched in this company now.
Crazy Horse (IRE) Stays over hurdles for the time being after showing a tendency to make mistakes over fences. Should get the trip and is one to place high on the list if supported in the betting.
