In depth
Verdict
The ground should suit Supreme's Legacy, who can take this at the main expense of Beau De Turgeon, Calusa Charlie, Ballyshan and Lost Boy. The selection is already a winner here over two miles on soft ground, while his latest outing at Haydock marks him out as a leading contender over this longer trip. If he can reproduce that effort, or perhaps even better it with this true test of stamina, then he can score. Beau De Turgeon would have a clear chance if repeating his effort at Doncaster last month, but this soft ground and longer trip may find him wanting. Calusa Charlie is interesting stepped up in trip. He handled the ground well enough ay Haydock last time, though the suspicion s that he too might struggle to truly get home. Ballyshan should be better for this step up to almost three miles and handled good to soft well enough on his only two starts, though he'd need to improve to score, while Lost Boy has to defy a long lay-off, though if he is fit enough he too has the ability to get involved. But this will be a real test and Supreme's Legacy looks up to it.
